DirectAdmin: Suspend and Unsuspend email account
The suspended email account stops the user from login using POP or IMAP method, and they will not be able to send email via SMTP authenticated as well.
Once the email account is suspended, its POP/IMAP/SMTP login attempts will fail. Such login attempts usually triggered by email client every few minutes. The examples of the email clients are Apple Mail or Microsoft Outlook on devices like desktop computer, laptop or mobile devices.
The suspended email account settings on the email client should be put "offline" or removed to prevent failed login attempts which will result in your ISP IP being blacklisted.
So, let’s get started
Once you’ve logged into DirectAdmin control panel, locate the “E-mail Accounts” click located under E-mail Manager section, please click it.
On the E-mail Accounts screen, please tick the checkbox of the email account that you would like to suspend, then please the Suspend button on the black bar to suspend it.
Once the email account is suspended, an orange-colored exclamation mark will appear on the right end of the email address.
