Welcome back to the Website Design Blog. This topic is all about how to choose a domain name.
A domain name is the unique address of a website on the internet that people type into their browser to access it.
This section covers the following:

Choosing a domain name may be lengthy due to a common situation whereby the domain name you wanted so much isn’t available. At the same time, the secondary choices aren’t as pleasing as the primaries.
We all agree that a good domain name is hard to get. However, we provide some handy and simple tips for choosing a domain name as listed below:
A search engine is like a librarian for the web — you type in what you're looking for (called a query), and it shows you a list of relevant websites or pages.
A Top-Level Domain (TLD) is the last part of a domain name — the section that comes after the final dot.Generic TLDs(gTLDs):These are not tied to a country.
- .com - commercial
- .org - organizations
- .net - network providers
- .info - information
- .biz - business
- .xyz, .online, .tech – newer gTLDs
Country Code TLDs (ccTLDs):These are tied to specific countries or regions.
Sponsored TLDs (sTLDs): Managed by private organizations with rules.
- .edu – for educational institutions
- .gov – for U.S. government
- .mil – for U.S. military
A Country Code Top-Level Domain (ccTLD) is a type of domain name that is specifically associated with a country or a territory.
