WordPress, the most widely used blogging platform. It’s being widely used in website design
due to its user friendliness. It’s easy to use and there are thousands of free or paid plugins
available. However, its script is not protected as well as other open source CMS, a lot more
security enhancement work needs to be done before we put a WordPress site online.
Due the script security matters, updates are a lot more frequent for WordPress Core and its
Plugins which extends WordPress’s functionalities comparing to other Open Source application.
The frequency of the plugins updates may varies from different plugin developers. Such
situation sometime creates compatibilities issues among the Plugin used as part of the building
block of the whole website design. So long precautional steps are in place, WordPress still a
good piece of Open Source CMS.
