Last Updated : Oct 2025

Introduction
At Web Temple ("We," "Us," "Our"), we are committed to protecting the data entrusted to us by our customers ("You," "Your"). This Data Retention Policy outlines how we store, manage, and delete data collected through our services. By using our services, you agree to the terms outlined in this Policy.

  1. Scope of Policy

    1. Covered Data:
      • Personal data, such as names, contact information, and billing details.

      • Service usage data, including access logs and activity logs.

      • Backup data stored as part of managed hosting or services.

    2. Excluded Data:
      • Data stored on customer-managed systems unless explicitly covered under managed services agreements.

  2. Data Retention Periods

    1. Account Data:
      • Retained for the duration of the customer’s active account.

      • Deleted 30 days after account termination unless required for legal or billing purposes.

    2. Usage Logs:
      • May retained for up to 12 months for troubleshooting, analytics, and security purposes.

    3. Backups:
      • Retained for up to 30 days as part of standard backup cycles unless specified otherwise in the service agreement.

    4. Legal Requirements:
      • Data required for legal, tax, or regulatory purposes may be retained for up to 10 years.

  3. Data Deletion

    1. Request for Deletion:
      • Customers may request data deletion by contacting us via Get in Touch Form.

      • Data deletion requests are subject to legal or contractual obligations.

    2. Deletion:
      • Data exceeding the retention period is deleted from our systems on a scheduled basis. This process is conducted manually or through semi-automated procedures to ensure proper review and compliance with retention policies.

    3. Exceptions:
      • Data may be retained beyond the specified period for ongoing disputes, investigations, or compliance with applicable laws.

  4. Data Storage and Security

    1. Storage Locations:
      • Data is stored on secure servers located within the country where the customer resides or operates, unless otherwise requested by the customer to store data in a different preferred location.

    2. Security Measures:
      • Data is protected using encryption, access controls, and regular security audits as a commercial option. We may encrypt customer data and perform regular security audits upon request, while regulating tight access control to their data storage.

    3. Third-Party Storage:
      • Data stored with third-party providers is subject to equivalent security standards as outlined in this Policy.

  5. Customer Responsibilities

    1. Data Accuracy:
      • Ensure that data provided to us is accurate and up-to-date.

    2. Data Backup:
      • While we implement robust data protection measures, including backups, customers are responsible for retaining their own copies of critical data stored on our services. This ensures availability in case of unforeseen events, such as accidental deletions, service interruptions, or disputes. Our backups are intended for recovery purposes and do not replace your obligation to maintain independent backups.

  6. Policy Amendments

    1. Updates:
      • This Policy may be updated to reflect changes in legal or operational requirements. Customers are advised to review this Policy on our website periodically to stay informed of any changes.

      • While not obligated, we may provide notifications of significant updates as a gesture of goodwill.
